CureCN - Virtual Progress Meeting

The CureCN consortium came together for its 2nd Progress Meeting that was held virtually on March 24, 2021. Despite working under the persistent constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, which imposed some delays in project activities during the last months, the partners were able to adapt their workplan and make good progress on their objectives.

The meeting was dedicated to the work progress achieved during the last months and to planning the next steps ahead with a main focus on the clinical trial and the re-administration issue. During the first half of the meeting, all consortium members presented an update on the results obtained in their work packages. This part was followed by a special round table session on immunomodulation including fruitful discussions among the entire group.

The second part of the meeting was focused on advancements in dissemination and exploitation activities and management aspects of the project. All partners had the opportunity to address challenges within and across the work packages.

The EC Officer Jana Makedonska also participated in the online meeting and gave a short overview about the EU’s new research and innovation programme Horizon Europe. Furthermore, she offered to provide support and inhouse experience to the consortium with regard to the clinical trial and when applying for scientific advice from regulatory authorities. Her feedback again proved to be a valuable asset for the consortium.
