Assistance Publique – Hopitaux de Paris is composed of 37 hospitals and 673 medical and technical units. As a renowned expert in the field of clinical research, the institution also accompanies researchers during the development and implementation of clinical trials.

The Reference Centre for Hepatic Metabolic Diseases associated to the Clinical Paediatric Department of Antoine-Béclère hospital has been acknowledged by the French Health Ministry in the frame of the French national plan for rare diseases. The reference centre has obtained certificate ISO 9001v2008 standards (management systems, process description, procedures manual) in 2011 and the paediatric unit has been officially allowed by the ARS (Agence Régionale de Santé, Regional Health Agency) to conduct biomedical researches. Official processes have been written and approved by the Agency. The Centre belongs to the “MetabERN” (European Reference Network for Hereditary Metabolic Disorders) approved by the European Commission in 2016.
